


NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME ACTIVITIES

NSS was formaly launched on 24th september 1969 , the birth centenary years of the father of the nation .
OBJECTIVES:
(1) Understand the community in which they work.
(2) Identify the needs and problems of the community
(3) Develop among themseleves a sense of soical and civic responsbility.
(4) Gain skills in moblising participation, acquire leadership qualities and democartic attitude.
(5) Pratice nation integration and social harmony.
(6) Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disaster.
THE MOTTO: "NOT WE NOT YOU BUT US"
NSS Symbol: The symbol of the National Service Scheme, is based on the ' RATH' wheel of the Kornak Sun Temple
in Orissa. The wheel signifies the progressive cycle of life.
NSS Badage: The NSS Symbol is embossed on the NSS Badage. The Kornak wheel in the symbol has eight bars, which represent 24 hrs. of the day.
IMPORTANT THURST AREA
Child marriage, gender issued ,dowary, sex determination tert, tobacco, sports, yoga, adventure, HIV/AIDS, water hiteracy, naton- integration,social harmony,environment enrichment, important days and weeks.
NSS activites have been divided into two major gropus :
(1)Regular activities
(2)Special Camping programme
(1) At present 116 volentears are enrolled for the session 2015-16 in our unit.
(2)Our school has organised 7 days NSS Camp for the session 2015-16 w.c.f 24-6-15 to 30-06 -2015.
